Another day, another Friday! Another End of the week report from the Embily team. As we all know, the crypto world never sleeps and it can be a little overwhelming to keep up with all fronts. So, let’s do some catch-up and see what interesting things have transpired in the crypto world this week.

The parent company of the New York exchange; Intercontinental Exchange has been developing an online platform to buy cryptocurrency. This means the New York Exchange’s platform will allow large investors to buy and hold bitcoin.
If everything gets set up, it would be the first established equities exchange operator to launch such a venue in the US.
Let’s continue with news of large crypto powerhouses because to hear and see people from large investment firms and platforms start their own crypto endeavors raises my already high hopes for the future of Crypto.
Yuzo Kano, who used to work at Goldman Sachs has turned bitFlyer.inc into Japan’s largest Bitcoin exchange. Vitalik Buterin recently tweeted:

But quickly deleted his tweet just a minute after. However, @RainDogDance had already screenshotted the tweet. Seems like Vitalik really isn’t a big fan of proof of work.
Huawei is the most popular brand of phone in China and fairly popular in other parts of the world. In China, access to apps is limited as the Chinese government blocks which can make downloading software wallets difficult for residents within the country.
However, Huawei will have all new phones come with a pre-installed Bitcoin wallet from BTC.com
Bitcoin Cash network will be upgrading their base block size from 8MB to 32MB. The network upgrade is planned to happen on the 15th May. There’s a bunch of more details on what exactly will happen during the upgrade, which can all be found in the below link:
There has been a bunch of references in mainstream media in the past week. With Gilfoyle passionately talking about Bitcoin in Silicon Valley, and the ledger wallet being showed in an episode of Billions. Marvel decided to jump in and have Tony Stark mention crypto in one of their comics also!
